Remember when that word “ice cream” used to make us cringe, as we weighed out the pros and cons. That dreamy, cool delicious treat.. or that zipping up that new dress I bought?

Trust me Friends, I will find a healthy hack for anything, no way am I giving up my favourite treats to be sugar free. I want it all, so I will find a way to do just that. Which is how we are really able to make this sugar free lifestyle a full on lifestyle, not giving up, not depriving… finding alternatives and getting creative… and as always STEVIA&SPICE approved.

Don’t worry I won’t make you wait much longer..

  • 2 1/2 cups full fat unsweetened coconut milk 
  • 1 large avocado
  • 1 cup raw unsalted pistachios, shells removed
  • Pinch of Himalayan Pink salt
  • Option: 1 teaspoon Stevia
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp pure vanilla bean
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp spirulina (for color and extra yumminess )


  1. Combine milk, avocado, pistachios, and any of your fun options in a blender. Blend on high until smooth.

  2. Add the Spirulina slowly to achieve a pretty green colour… KIDS LOVE THIS!

  3. Pour the mixture into a  pan, top with chopped pistachios, maybe even some unsweetened coconut shreds, and freeze overnight.

  4. Remove from the freezer and let thaw for 10-15 minutes or until soft enough to scoop. Or if you want it SUPER creamy, break into chunks and re-blend until smooth.

    STEVIA&SPICE PRO TIP: If you place your coconut milk in the fridge the day prior, it makes it that much creamier when you go to make, also will take less freezer time
